Katarina Malbaša was born on 2th of January, 2003 in Sombor. She started playing piano at the age of four. Her first teacher was Arleta Štrangarić Šteta, afterwards Miroslav Popović and Nikola Radaković. She stays presently with Lidija Stanković at Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade. Besides of a lot of competitions that she took a part, she attended master classes with eminent pedagogues Jacques Rouvier, Aleksandar Serdar, Lidija Bizjak, Drafi Kalman... Katarina successfully performed in various towns of our country like a soloist and had a concert with orchestra playing Bach’s Concerto in A major.

She was a participant of A-Fest Academy Festival Novi Sad in 2013 and Art Link project in 2015 in Subotica. Katarina in the period of 2008-2018 had annually been awarded for her results in piano performance by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Serbia. She won first and second prizes as well as a laureate at competitions such as the International Competition „Davorin Jenko“ and the International Competition of Young Musicians „Petar Konjović“ in Belgrade, the Competition of Young Pianists in Šabac, the International Piano Competition in Smederevo. She was a semi-finalist at the International Competition Young Virtuosos – Lidiya Kouteva 2023 in Sofia (Bulgaria). She won the 3rd prize at the EPTA „Dora Pejačević“ in Osijek and the 2nd prize at the 8th Isidor Bajić Piano Memorial Competition in Novi Sad.
